The first phase of counselling for admission to B.E/B.Tech courses and for MBBS programme under Special Category of "eminent sports person"(anna university sports quota counselling) will be held on July 5ht at the Vivekananda auditorium, College of Engineering, Guindy.

A release from the Secretary, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions 2009, P. Narayanasamy, on Thursday said the call letters had been sent to all the eligible candidates.

If any vacancy arose at the end of the first phase of counselling, candidates would be called for the second phase.

University sources said the schedule of the general counselling was likely to be decided formally at the TNEA coordination committee meeting to be held on July 10.
