Just 5 days before releasing the rank list, the Anna University, Guindy authorities will assign anna university random number results to all the applications submitted by candidates to determine the seniority list in case of a tie. The anna university random number result will be used to break the tie if more than one candidate had scored the same cut-off and shared the same date of birth. After the rank list is published

Candidates can log on to www.annauniv.edu and choose Random Number Enquiry under the Results and Schedules column to find out anna university random number result.

Allocation of seats

In the absence of the common entrance test, candidates seeking admission to engineering colleges with the same scores in their higher secondary examinations will be ranked depending on the marks in individual subjects, followed by the date of birth and the annauniv random number results, Mr. Viswanathan said.

Candidates’ scores in Mathematics and Physics, followed by the optional subject of Biology or Computer Science, would be considered in that order to break the tie. The date of birth, with preference to the older student, would be considered next.
