The National Science Olympiad

The NSO is one of the most prestigious science competitions in india It is a competition for school students. The national science olympiad enables students from Standard 3-12 are eligible for appearing in it. However, you have to participate in national science olympiad through your school, individual participation is not encouraged. The examination, is of course different for all classes. The first round is given by all the participants. On the basis of the first round of national science olympiad, 500 students from each standard are selected for the second round. The questions in both rounds of national science olympiadare divided into 3 sections - Mental Ability, Logical and Analytical Reasoning and Science. All of the student who qualify for Round 2 of national science olympiad get some award. There is also an award called the School Topper Medal, which is essentially a medal given to the topping student in each class of each school with more than 25 participants in the concerned class.
