Telecom operator Aircel wednesday launched its GSM mobile services in Delhi, its 14th service area.
Launching the services, Aircel chief operating officer Gurdeep Singh said the company would come up with attractive plans to cater to the needs of professionals, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and the youth.
“To address the needs of SMEs and professionals, we will offer a user-friendly recharge scheme that will enable them make calls and messages absolutely free of cost across Aircel across our local network and make STD calls at 50 paise from one Aircel to another,” Singh said.
In addition, the subscribers will be able to avail free incoming calls while roaming on Aircel networks. They can make local calls to other networks at 50 paise and long distance calls at Re.1, he added.
The company will also launch ‘Youth of Delhi’ plan that will offer services like unlimited song change, free talk time for local calls at night, group messaging at 1 paise, group calling at 25 paise and calls to the US and Canada at Rs.2 per minute.
Aircel, the country’s fifth largest GSM mobile service provider with a subscriber base of over 17 million, is a joint venture between Malaysia’s Maxis Communications and Apollo Hospital Enterprise.
It is now present in 14 telecom circles across the country - Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Kerala, Kolkata, Assam, Bihar, Chennai, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, north-east, Orissa, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal. more..
