The announcement came on Thursday in which the company has informed that the common man's car tata nano - which Ratan Tata had promised would have a price tag below Rs.1,00,000 (1 lakh) - would be tata nano launch at a function in Mumbai.
The company has also given a schedule for the commencement of tata nano online booking. It has said that thetata nano online bookingwill be put on display at Tata Motors dealerships from the first week of April 2009 and tata nano online booking will commence from the second week of April 2009.Since its unveiling on January 10, 2008, thetata nano has witnessed an unprecedented interest in the country, with its website having recorded over 30 million hits in the past one year. The company has seen many ups and downs in the past year in developing a suitable production facility for this much publicized tata nano car.
tata nano car seems have overcome the hurdles and is now looking ahead to make arrangements for the widest possible network to book the car across the length and breadth of India.
Tata Motors says that the booking process and other details will be announced on March 23, 2009.
