A low scoring pattern, particularly in the physics, chemistry and mathematics (PCM) segment of the MHT-CET 2011, is expected to bring down
the mhtcet cut off for engineering colleges in maharashtra points for the engineering admissions this year.

According to coaching expert Harish Butale, "Last year, the engineering admissions had closed at the CET score of 75 following all rounds of admissions. This year, we expect the mhtcet cut off for engineering colleges in maharashtra to come down to nearly 70."

The director of technical education (DTE) has declared 68,326 seats that are up for grabs at the 215 government-run, aided and unaided engineering colleges in the state based on the mhtcet cut off for engineering colleges in maharashtra.

Another 12,000+ seats are expected to be added by the end of June, when the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is to announce its sanctioned intake for 2009-10, which would include that of new engineering colleges starting this year.


With close to 80,000 engineering seats to be filled by mhtcet cut off for engineering colleges in mumbai that are eventually to be at stake, and over 2.16 lakh students appearing in the PCM segment, the student to seat ratio is expected at 2:1 and this would work to lowering the cut-off, said Butale.


Butale said, "The low scoring pattern is evident from the fact that last year we had over 200 students ending up with more than 190 marks as against the 135 this year."

Butale has been associated with the district entrance examination performance enhancement and research (Deeper) movement that aims at creating greater consciousness among students for competitive exams and improving Pune district's performance in the mhtcet cut off for engineering colleges in pune .


The number of students aspiring for engineering seats too has gone up significantly this year.
