Trains along the central and harbour line was running late by atleast 30 minutes while trains along the western railway were 10-15 minutes late. Even air traffic was affected. Flights departing from Mumbai were 30 minutes behind schedule, airport officials, said. While arrivals were delayed by 20 minutes. The visibility at the airport had reduced to 600 m.
Information supplied by the civic disaster management cell revealed flooding in various parts of the city. The areas included Cadbury Junction at Mahalaxmi, Dr Annie Besant Road at Worli, General post office near CST railway station, Maratha mandir at Mumbai Central, Hindmata, St Mary School at Byculla, Slater Road, Sewree, Prabhodhankar Thackeray Udyan, Andheri subway, Lilavati at Bandra, Hindmata junction, Amulak High School, and Sion Road no 4,
Wadala, and at St Dynaneshwar Nagar in Juhu, among other places.
