The two-year Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy and Management (PGPPM) of Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) has entered its eighth year. Catalyzed by the Government of India and UNDP in the year 2002, the PGPPM was conceived as a pioneering programme in public policy designed by India’s leading business school. The programme presents an innovative and socially relevant approach to public policy, besides being power packed with path breaking insights about winning policy making and management strategies. Eminent academicians and practitioners from IIMB and overseas share inputs on how to mobilize participants’ intangible assets - talent, knowledge, relationship and reputation to draw up a coherent strategy to meet the needs of the emerging global and national arenas. PGPPM also allows participants’ the opportunity to specialize in a policy area of your choice. In the preceding six years, 171 participants belonging to the All India Services and Central Services Group “A” have successfully underwent the programme. Some of our alumni are on assignments in frontier areas such as Infrastructure Financing, Regulations, Public-Private Partnerships and in management of key Social Sector Projects. For government officials participation is sponsored by Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India.
