Orissa JEE counselling which was earlier scheduled to start from July 10 will now start from July 14 in the premises of Orissa Agriculture and Technical University (OUAT).

The earlier decided date could not be adhered to, as the rank cards could not be sent to all the students in time. Rank cards will be sent between July 5 and July 12 and the students failing to get their cards can collect duplicate cards on the 14th from the JEE Centre opened at OUAT, said Antaryami Mishra, Chairperson, JEE.

BPUT had proposed before the Government for implementing e-counselling in three centres of the State and the Government approved the move which is going to work from the following year. According to the decision Bhubaneswar, Rourkela and Berhampur will be the three centres and on-line counselling will be done in these centres simultaneously.

Due to the lack of adequate arrangements, e-counselling could not be implemented this year, said Mishra. JEE counselling now takes a month to be over whereas after implementation of e-counselling it will be a one week business.

Good News for all wbjee (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination - WBJEE 2011) aspirants, as it has decided to conduct wbjee counselling 2011 for admission from july 3rd. The wbjee counselling 2011 shall be conducted in three phases subject to availability of suitable number of merit listed candidates after 1st and 2nd phase of counselling.

The 1st wbjee counselling 2011 (up to WBJEE rank : Gen – 60000, SC – 6220, ST – 630, PC – 396) and AIEEE – 2010 ( upto All India Overall rank 500000) rank holders is scheduled to commence w.e.f. 03.07.2010 (Saturday) and is likely to continue up to 20.07.2010 at Yuba Bharati Krirangan ( Salt Lake Stadium), Salt Lake, Kolkata – 700 098.

Rules for getting wait listed (for WBJEE-2011 rank holders only) : A candidate reporting at the wbjee counselling 2011 seeking allotment of seat shall have the option to register himself / herself as a wait listed candidate for next phase of wbjee counselling 2011 , in case he/she does not accept the allotment of any seat in any college / university available to him/her as per merit during the current phase of wbjee counselling 2011 .
